With the support of local government, artists, piano makers and record companies, the Festival has presented in its seven-year history a total of 900 master classes, 22 lectures, and over 50 concerts. 
 

      Since its inception, the master classes of master pianists have opened new horizons for teachers and students and passed on experience of piano teaching to them. At the same time, the Festival also showcases the pedagogical excellence of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Many young talents emerged on the platform of the Festival, which paves the way for their future development.
 

      To mark the 200th anniversary of the Hungarian pianist Liszt, this year's Festival will feature several concerts and lectures focusing on Liszt's music. It will present over 120 master classes, 3 lectures, a piano teachers' seminar, and better yet, one recital at the He Luting Concert Hall and 6 concerts at the ShanghaiOriental Art Center. The concert on Oct. 7 will feature a total of 17 pianists. The concert series will surely grace the worldwide Liszt celebration.
